Starwood, Skyroam partner for guest Wi-Fi hotspots

Starwood Preferred Guest and Skyroam, a global Wi-Fi hotspot provider, have partnered to provide guests with an easy way to stay connected while traveling. Guests of select Starwood hotels in Europe and the Middle East can rent Skyroam’s portable global hotspot with unlimited Wi-Fi for a fee.

Using Skyroam global Wi-Fi hotspot, Starwood guests can enjoy unlimited Internet access throughout the hotel property, in the surrounding city areas, and beyond. The hotspot is also available for guests to purchase at a discounted rate of $99.99 upon check-out at participating hotels, so travelers can enjoy Skyroam’s contract-free service wherever they go with unlimited Wi-Fi in 24-hour daypass increments – all at one flat rate worldwide.

“Innovation is part of our culture, and we’re always looking for the latest in technology to help provide an enhanced guest experience,” said Daniel Kerzner, VP of digital, loyalty and partnership marketing for Starwood in Europe, Africa and Middle East. “Our partnership with Skyroam offers guests a unique global hotspot they can use throughout their stay with us or anywhere in the city they are visiting.”

The Skyroam global Wi-Fi hotspot can be rented at the front desk for use at the hotel or when venturing outside the property. Skyroam hotspot conveniently fits into a pocket or purse, and travelers can use the device to access social media, apps, emails and WiFi calls and messaging. Skyroam global Wi-Fi hotspot can be used on up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices at once.

Skyroam’s patented virtual SIM technology helps travelers access a secure online network in more than 100 countries around the world. Skyroam global WiFi hotspot is currently available at select Sheraton, Le Meridien, Westin, and Aloft hotels in Europe and the Middle East and will soon expand to other regions.
