The Umstead Hotel and Spa installs HDTV solution from Bulk TV

Bulk TV & Internet has provided Cary, N.C.-based The Umstead Hotel and Spa to provide the DIRECTV Residential Experience (DRE) throughout the property's 123 guestrooms and 27 suites. This elite free-to-guest TV solution transforms the in-room entertainment experience by offering guests a full residential channel lineup with more than 100 channels from DIRECTV.

In addition to an expansive channel lineup, the DIRECTV Residential Experience features a faster, easier-to-use interactive programming guide that is operated by an anti-microbial, simplified remote. The system delivers programming to compact, easily hidden receivers in each guest room or suite so that guests can enjoy the same first-rate DIRECTV experience they receive at home. The suites at The Umstead also offer DVR functionality giving guests the ability to rewind, pause and record live DIRECTV programming.

In addition to the DIRECTV Residential Experience, Bulk TV also provides centralized headend solutions, which enable the hotel to provide a customized, channel lineup without equipment in the guest rooms.
