Zöetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya installs mobile access

AMResorts AAA five-diamond property in Mexico, Zöetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya, has installed the mobile access solution from dormakaba and OpenKey. dormakaba and OpenKey first established a preferred partnership in February 2016 to provide fast, efficient installations of hospitality mobile access systems.

“Mobile access is an important part of AMResorts' innovation program,” said Baldemar Romo, Apple Leisure group's director of IT International, in a statement. “We trusted dormakaba and OpenKey to come together in order to launch our mobile access pilot program at Zöetry Paraiso de la Bonita in the Riviera Maya. Our biggest markets are the United States and Canada, where consumers are already familiar with mobile access. OpenKey's mobile app integrates with our current on-property mobile application to help support guest loyalty.”

AMResorts, a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group, is the fastest growing provider of sales, marketing and brand management services to six individually unique resort brands throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. AMResorts brands include Zöetry Wellness and Spa Resorts, Secrets Resorts and Spas, Breathless Resorts and Spas, Dreams  Resorts and Spas, Now Resorts and Spas, and Sunscape Resorts and Spas.

“We selected Saflok RT BLE-enabled locks to operate with dormakaba's mobile access solution,” Zöetry Paraiso de la Bonita GM Ankara Angulo said. “The OpenKey app allows guests to easily open their room doors, with just their cell phones. The OpenKey and dormakaba teams worked well together to complete the installation across our entire resort in just three days.”

dormakaba's mobile access solution is a secure, end-to-end mobile credential application utilizing Bluetooth low energy. It may be seamlessly integrated with brand loyalty apps and chain technology infrastructures, as well as third party mobile integrator apps. Cloud-based dormakaba mobile access enables guests to open their room doors with their own BLE mobile phone or device, including the Apple Watch, as a flexible alternative to a classic RFID keycard. dormakaba RFID locks manufactured today are compatible with BLE, IOS and Android mobile technology.
