AJ Capital Partners acquired the former Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Richmond Downtown.
The property will close for a comprehensive renovation and is expected to open as the Graduate Richmond in early 2016. Graduate Hotels is a new hotel collection targeting university-anchored markets across the country that launched in fall 2014.
The 200 room full-service hotel is located on Franklin Street, ideally located one block from Virginia Commonwealth University, walking distance to the Virginia State Capitol, downtown Richmond and the Broad Street dining and entertainment district. The full-scale renovation will touch all interior spaces including common areas, guest rooms and meeting and event spaces transforming the hotel with the signature Graduate design aesthetic.
