Hunter advises on sale of San Diego Holiday Inn Express

Hunter Hotel Advisors announced that the firm recently advised on the sale of the 113-room Holiday Inn Express San Diego Sea World/Beach Area hotel. Hunter represented Excel Hotel Group, a San Diego-based hotel management group, and arranged the sale to another California investor.

“The prime location helped generate multiple offers for the asset. We were able to capitalize on our relationships with a complete range of hotel investors including institutional REITs, private equity and regional investors,” said Danny Givertz, SVP of Hunter Hotel Advisor’s L.A. office who brokered the transaction.

Givertz also credited the high buyer interest to the hotel’s recent rebranding to Holiday Inn Express and the high barrier to entry of the San Diego market.
