Russell Kett, chairman of HVS' London office, is about as frank as they come. That candidness will be on full display during the International Hotel Investment Forum, March 7-9, at the InterContinental Berlin.

Kett will be part of the "Check in with the Investors and Analysts" panel, moderated by Edward Wojakovski, CEO of Tonstate, and also including Robin Rossman, managing director of STR Global, and Andreas Scriven, international managing director and head of consultancy for Christie Co.

One of the topics surely to be discussed is industry consolidation. Kett predicted consolidation before 2015, and has a fresh take on both Marriott's and AccorHotels' acquisitions of Starwood and FRHI, respectively.
