Margaritaville Holdings, Songy Highroads and the Wampold Cos. plan to open the first Margaritaville in Texas in Q3 2020.
The resort, located north of Houston on Lake Conroe, will replace La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa and involve a major renovation that will refresh the existing property.
When complete, the 360-guestroom Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe will stretch over 186 acres of waterfront property, with accommodations split between a main 20-story tower and a collection of waterfront villas.
The renovation will include the property's 18-hole golf course, tennis facilities, spa, restaurants, outdoor pools and 45,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting space. The conversion also will change out two of La Torretta's current restaurants to Margaritaville’s signature food and beverage offerings: LandShark Bar & Grill and 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.
Songy Highroads and the Wampold Cos., which have partnered multiple times over the past decade, will co-manage the resort—their first Margaritaville property together.
