Architecture and development firm AO broke ground on a new luxury boutique hotel in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., last week. The Inn at The Mission, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel will include 124 guestrooms, eight suites, a spa and a signature restaurant and is slated for completion in 2020.

Mission Commercial Property is developing the hotel with the help of Kay Lang + Associates and RD Construction.

“I am really pleased with the way the spatial character and overall feel of the site and the public spaces and guest rooms are coming together,” Bruce Greenfield, AO principal said in a statement. “I anticipate a stunning project at completion, with multiple places for discovery, reflection and just sitting with a glass of wine taking in the ambience.”
