Galaxy Hotels to convert independent Iowa hotel to Radisson

Galaxy Hotels Group is bringing the full-service Cedar Rapids Hotel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to the Radisson Hotels Americas brand, part of Choice Hotels International. The newly branded Radisson Hotel Cedar Rapids is the first hotel conversion to the Radisson brand in the United States since Radisson Hotels Americas was acquired by Choice Hotels International in 2022.

The seven-story, atrium-style property has 220 keys and approximately 26,000 square feet of event space. The hotel will remain open for business during a full renovation. The Radisson Hotel Cedar Rapids is owned by Voyage Capital Group and operated by Galaxy Hotels Group. Frisco, Texas-based Galaxy Hotels Group is a growing hotel management company that operates hotels across nine U.S. states.

“We aim to provide a hospitality environment that immerses our team members and guests in the rich tapestry of local culture, heritage, and traditions,” said Scott Nadel, chief operating officer, Galaxy Hotels Group. “We are eager to show the Cedar Rapids area how we deliver on the operational tenet of authenticity with our reflagged Radisson Hotel Cedar Rapids.”
