Hilton has outlined progress toward the company's 2030 environmental and social impact goals with the release of its 2025 Travel with Purpose report.

According to the report, Hilton has reduced carbon emissions intensity by 50.9 percent at managed hotels and 36 percent at franchised hotels compared to its baseline. The company also reported a 37.1 percent reduction in water use intensity and a 64.7 percent reduction in landfill waste intensity, surpassing its 2030 landfill waste reduction target ahead of schedule.

The report also highlights Hilton's community initiatives. Through the Hilton Global Foundation and partnerships with non-profit organizations, the company said it has reached 2.5 million people through community programs, contributed 1.8 million volunteer hours and distributed millions of meals in communities where it operates.

Travel with Purpose serves as Hilton's environmental, social and governance strategy and focuses on three areas: workforce development, hotel operations and community impact. The McLean, Va.-based company said its initiatives include investments in energy efficiency, responsible sourcing, water conservation, biodiversity protection and programs designed to strengthen local economies and community resilience.

"Through Travel with Purpose, we're making meaningful, measurable progress across our people, our hotels and our communities—strengthening the experiences we deliver to guests while driving long-term value for our business," Katherine Lugar, EVP of corporate affairs and president of the Hilton Global Foundation, said in a statement.
