HotelPlanner: Hotels expect 'massive surge' for holiday weekend

According to data from HotelPlanner, hotels across the country are seeing a “massive surge” in travel demand ahead of the long July 4 weekend.

Booking demand over the holiday weekend is up 48 percent compared to last year. The average hotel rate has increased by 30 percent over 2025, bringing the platform's average weekend rate to $294 per night.
