The U.S. hotel industry reported another week of positive year-over-year comparisons, according to CoStar’s latest data through July 18.

- Occupancy: 72.4 percent (+1.1 percent)
- Average daily rate: US$174.49 (+5.2 percent)
- Revenue per available room: $126.33 (+6.3 percent)
Top Markets
Among the Top 25 Markets, New York City saw the largest increases in ADR (+41.5 percent to $425.03) and RevPAR (+40.3 percent to $377.07). The market reported a 105.1 percent lift in ADR and a 116.1 percent gain in RevPAR on Saturday, 18 July – the night before the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
Washington, D.C., reported the largest occupancy gain (+7.0 percent to 78.3 percent).
Helped by continued World Cup tourism, Miami registered the second-highest jump in ADR (+26.7 percent to $212.74).
Dallas, which hosted a semifinal match between France and Spain, experienced the second-largest RevPAR increase (+26.6 percent to $96.81) on the third-highest ADR gain (+21.5 percent to $144.41).
