$85M upgrade in the works at Atlantic City resort

Ocean Casino Resort, formerly the Revel Casino Hotel Atlantic City (N.J.), is set to roll out more than $85 million in property development over the summer. Updates include the completion of over 460 guestrooms and suites, The Gallery Bar Book & Games and several new food-and-beverage outlets.

The new guestrooms took $72 million of the total project costs. Available July 1, the new 463-square-foot Contemporary Blu rooms were inspired by the colors and patterns of the shoreline. The beach-inspired flooring and wallcoverings are meant to create a calming atmosphere while the soft-touch fabrics mimic the style and forms of the building.

Continuing the beach-scape aesthetic, the newly built suites have a dining area, wet bar and lounge seating for guests to host small gatherings. The Social Suite has a large sofa as well as a freestanding soaking tub in the bathroom.

The Gallery Bar Book & Games—developed at a cost of $5.2 million—will also open on July 1 and will include a 100-foot elevated bar and lounge, video poker, blackjack and roulette tables as well as 140 feet of LED walls. A 17-foot open-air staircase will connect to Balcony Bar, a mezzanine bar and lounge.

New York's Serendipity3 restaurant brand will make its Atlantic City debut on June 1 across from Villain & Saint and The District. The property will also get a new Starbucks and will expand its Zhen Bang restaurant, adding 60 seats and almost 1,000 square feet of supplementary dining space.
