DesignAgency opens fourth studio

On the heels of international growth in 2019, DesignAgency is opening an additional studio in Washington, D.C., augmenting its existing studios in Toronto, Los Angeles and Barcelona, Spain.

The Washington studio will focus on expanding DesignAgency’s hospitality interiors in North America, and will be led by newly appointed design director and senior associate David Hill, along with recently promoted U.S. managing director and senior associate Alexandra Bruemmer Cole.

Hill, founder of DH Design in Los Angeles, has more than 25 years of experience designing hospitality and residential interiors around the globe for international brands including Kimpton, Westin and Autograph hotels. Hill will be relocating to Washington, where he will apply his collaborative and research-based approach to help expand DesignAgency’s presence in the United States. “As a peer I’ve admired DesignAgency for their contributions to the hospitality industry, their trusting client relationships, and their reputation as thoughtful and creative designers," he said. "It's the perfect fit and I am very much looking forward to working with DesignAgency.”

Cole helped establish DesignAgency’s Los Angeles studio in 2017 and has managed U.S. clients since that time. She has been instrumental in the success of the company's projects for brands including SBE, Node Living, NeueHouse, MGM, Pendry, Joie de Vivre and others.
