Flagler Club at The Breakers Palm Beach announces reno

Flagler Club, the private-access boutique hotel within The Breakers Palm Beach, will unveil extensive renovations later this year. Led by Tihany Design, Flagler Club’s modern esthetic will extend throughout 21 guestrooms and suites, as well as its lounge and terrace. In the guestrooms, guests can expect wooden furniture, contemporary chaise lounges and an Italian closet system; details will include embroidered wall coverings, trompe l’oeil-style vertical wall molding and decorative paneled screens.

Flagler Club’s lounge and terrace will complement the décor and esthetic found within the club’s accommodations. Custom plush seating will adorn both indoor and outdoor spaces, while inside, a curated collection of art will be on display. Throughout the day, a range of food and beverage presentations will be served, followed by classic cocktails.

The project is part of The Breakers’ ongoing investment in revitalization, which averages $30 million each year, according to Tricia Taylor, president of The Breakers Palm Beach. "Our goal is to delicately balance preservation and modernization, with the assistance of Tihany Design," she said in a statement.

The intimate hotel-within-a-hotel concept made its debut in 2015 at the Italian Renaissance-style resort, originally built by Henry M. Flagler in 1896.
