Marriott International has renovated or is currently updating a number of properties across the Caribbean.

Grand Cayman Marriott Resort

Grand Cayman Marriott Resort has kicked off a renovation of its room and suites inspired by the atmosphere of the island.

As part of the renovation project, the hotel will reposition its 15 junior suites by completely redesigning the space. New features include a partition to divide the bed and sitting areas. Four new family guestrooms will have custom bunk beds and expanded storage options, setting these rooms apart from standard accommodations.

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is set to expand its sporting facilities in early 2024. Pickleball—a sport blending tennis, badminton and table tennis—has rapidly become a global sensation. Responding to this global trend, the property is set to introduce three additional pickleball courts, totaling five courts in all. The hotel also has three tennis courts with Titan Trax surface.

San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino

The San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino will unveil its renovations in fall 2024. The design of the new guestroom includes wood-look tile floors along with clean-line furniture and a walk-in shower. Design accents include private balconies with seating.

A key part of the phased renovation is the introduction of updated public spaces: the Great Rooms, Stellaris Casino and restaurants.

Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

The Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino has opened the Mercát restaurant, designed with a connection to the land and sea (blue tones representing Mediterranean waters) and with natural and organic materials.

Characteristics that evoke Mediterranean style include arched doorways, painting, carved wood and seamless flow through indoor-outdoor living. The new dining concept serves dishes with fresh ingredients and influences from Spain, Italy, Lebanon and Greece.

The Westin Punta Cana Resort & Club

The Westin Punta Cana Resort & Club has newly refreshed rooms, two new restaurants and bars, an updated lobby and new additions to its meeting rooms.

The renovation includes the unveiling of Brassa—a steakhouse restaurant—and BAO—a Pan Asian-influenced restaurant. The new dock gazebo on the beach can host weddings and special events. The property is also getting a wellness area.
