Silverado Resort, a landmark resort in Napa Valley wine country, has put the finishing touches on the $1.5 million renovation of 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space encompassing the ballroom, conference and meeting rooms and pre-function areas.
Under the direction of interior design firm SFA Design, the new meeting spaces have emerged with a distinctive design aesthetic inspired by the surrounding Napa Valley landscape, known for its rolling green hills, soft earth tones and rows of green vines punctuated by purple grapes. The new interiors are grounded in nature with carpeting in a bold large-scale feather pattern as well as abundant textures, vibrant accents and natural elements. A rich amber and cognac palette that reflects fall colors, coupled with bright pops of purple and green, sets the stage for art and photography sourced by local galleries while contemporary lighting with bronze finishes and lime-washed walls further refine the spaces.
In the reimagined Silverado Ballroom—the 5,160-square-foot resort centerpiece accommodating up to 400 guests—plush Axminster carpeting in the dramatic feather pattern is balanced by neutral-hued millwork and bright crystal chandeliers, providing a light and breezy ambiance for large-scale events.
According to Todd Shallan, vice president and managing director of Silverado Resort, the revamped event spaces—ideal for a range of large and intimate functions from corporate events to weddings to private parties —re an integral part of an ongoing enhancement program designed to reposition the resort for a new era.
“With new paint, wallpaper, art, carpeting, lighting and furnishings, our meetings and event spaces have been completely transformed with a warm yet fresh and modern design,” he said in a statement. “The overall look is one of graceful elegance—a seamless fusion of bold colors, distinctive lighting, tactile textures and natural materials conveying a contemporary Napa story.”
