New York hotel unveils suite collection

The Lotte New York Palace in New York City has launched its Royal Suite Collection, eight accommodations ranging in size from one-bedroom, 2,500-square-feet suites to three-floor, 5,000-square-feet penthouses.

As part of the unveiling, Lotte New York Palace also is introducing four newly renovated suites designed by interior design firm ForrestPerkins.

The collection consists of four three-floor penthouse suites, each with private elevators and rooftop terraces: Madison Avenue Penthouse, Park Avenue Penthouse, The Jewel Suite by Martin Katz and The Champagne Suite in addition to The Hästens Ultimate Sleep Suite, The Empire Skyview Suite, The Manhattan Skyview Suite and the Imperial Suite.

Penthouse Suites

The Madison Avenue Penthouse and Park Avenue Penthouse have an extensive living area with an overlook on the second level, coupled with bronzed metal, muted tones and accents of blue to create a unique airiness and elegance to the space. The third floor of the suite is a rooftop media room complete with working fireplace and an expansive outdoor terrace.

Additionally, the one-floor Skyview suites have a master bedroom, master bath and a walk-in closet in addition to a library, a gym, an entertainment room, a living room, an office, a dining room and a kitchen.

Each master suite and guestroom in the collection has Hästens mattresses. A centerpiece of the Hästens partnership is The Hästens Ultimate Sleep Suite, which is the only suite in the world to house this iteration of the flagship Vividus bed retailing for $200,000. Each Hästens bed is handcrafted using cotton, flax, horsehair, pine and wool.

The Champagne Suite’s interior has a contemporary and modern design with a Nouveau Nero marble floor leading to a double-story Grand Parlour surrounded by floor to ceiling windows. The master suite and double queen suite take design inspiration from the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes with expressions of leather and deep rose tones. The Champagne cave is just off the dining room, while the tasting lounge and outdoor terrace house a black glass fireplace and custom designed hot tub.

The Jewel Suite, designed by jewelry designer Martin Katz and HOK, reflects an early 20th century aesthetic. The suite opens with a two-story “cascading crystal” chandelier and sculptural crystal “jewel boxes” in addition to a private internal elevator accessing the suite’s second and third levels. The terrace level has a wood-burning fireplace while the exterior terrace features a formal manicured garden and green space with an elevated spa in a striking stone landscape.

Artwork & Wellness

The newly renovated suites have a bespoke art collection curated by DM Art and inspired by Central Park. The art collection is a mix of fine art prints, collage, paintings on canvas, photography, mixed media and multidimensional works.

Each piece of art was designed and produced by DM Art’s in-house team of artists and artisans whose talents range from traditional fine art techniques to modern digital practices. The overall goal for the collection was to evoke the unique qualities of the property and its locale with some influences easily recognizable, while others subjective to the guest.

All newly renovated suites in the Royal Suite Collection have Peloton bikes, treadmills and yoga mats in-room. Select three-floor penthouse suites include both a Peloton bike and treadmills in a private fitness room.
