San Ramon Marriott completes $17M renovation

The 368-room San Ramon (Calif.) Marriott has completed the $17 million renovation of the property. The hotel, owned by Hudson Advisors L.P., and operated by HEI Hotel & Resorts, received a top-to-bottom refurbishment to upgrade guestrooms, public spaces and back-of-house services to bring the hotel to “like-new” status.

“To complement the natural beauty of our San Ramon setting, we focused on the renowned California Missions as our design inspiration,” Robert Hendricks, director of sales and marketing, San Ramon Marriott, said in a statement. “From the historic Spanish missions to the majestic El Camino Real, California is known for its beautiful architecture. We want our guests to have a more experiential taste of this when they stay with us. In addition to the beautiful design aspects, we also went to great lengths to include and/or upgrade the services and amenities most requested by today’s business and leisure travelers. In the heart of Contra Costa County, San Ramon Marriott will become the market and segment destination of choice for discerning travelers.”

The renovation touched on all aspects of the hotel. All guestrooms received new soft and case goods, and new furniture was installed in public areas. The meeting space was upgraded, including new carpeting, wallpaper and air walls. The lobby, including the front desk reception area, were enhanced with new paint, wall coverings, front desk background and new furniture. A chandelier was installed in the dining area, which was also updated with new lighting, wall coverings, furniture and bar redesign. In addition to a new M Club—Marriott’s private lounge space for Bonvoy members—the lobby has been fully renovated.

The San Ramon Marriott is near multiple business headquarters and within walking distance of Bishop Ranch City Center and Roundhouse Conference Center. Hotel amenities include a large outdoor pool and patio surrounded by trees, fitness center and communal fire pits with seating. The hotel also has more than 16,600 square feet of adaptable meeting space. Guestrooms have plush bedding, mini-refrigerators, flat-screen televisions with live streaming apps, ergonomic workstations and complimentary Wi-Fi.
