Aspen Hospitality to open luxury hotel in Rockefeller Center

Colorado-based Aspen Hospitality has unveiled plans to expand its Little Nell hotel to Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. The proposed luxury hotel is still awaiting development approval. The 130-room property is expected to debut in 2026 across 10 floors at the 16-story 10 Rockefeller Plaza.

The company opened the Little Nell brand in Aspen, Colo. in 1989. Aspen Hospitality also owned Limelight hotels and is controlled by the Chicago-based Crown family, which owns Rockefeller Center along with global real estate developer Tishman Speyer.

In a statement, Aspen Hospitality said it would be working closely with real estate developer Tishman Speyer and other partners, including New York's Department of City Planning, labor representatives, elected officials and community members, as the project moves through the approval process.
