Boutique hotel Alsace LA opens in West Adams neighborhood

Alsace LA, a boutique hotel in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles, has opened.

The hotel is anchored around an interior courtyard and a secluded in-ground pool designed with desert landscaping.

Alsace LA’s design includes elements like Bauhaus-inspired curves, white oak ceilings and floors and site-specific art. Developed by CIM Group with architectural design by NMDA Architects and interiors by Brooklyn-based Home Studios, Alsace LA’s layered exterior and interior design details include the use of vintage and custom furnishings and lighting. Fluted textures, terracotta plaster, and warm wood materials reference California’s vegetation and natural environment.

The hotel’s lobby evokes a Mediterranean-style portico (or porch). Residential in feel, the property’s central courtyard filters light through each of the hotel’s three stories. Each of the hotel’s 48 guestrooms have handcrafted details, and larger suites have a balcony or terrace, a custom dining table, and a pull-out sofa.

The hotel also includes a fitness center and a 409-square-foot private meeting room. The property will be partnering with nearby drop-in coworking space Yoube to offer guests credits and access to a workspace during their stay.
