Being developed in collaboration with HSL Properties and operator Desert Hospitality Management, Hyatt Hotels Corporation unveiled plans to open the first Hyatt Regency-branded hotel in Tucson.
The 291-room Hyatt Regency Tucson Convention Center is scheduled to open late 2027 following a repositioning and is in downtown Tucson. According to Chicago-based Hyatt, the addition of the Hyatt Regency brand is intended to expand the company's presence in Southern Arizona while supporting Tucson's convention and meetings market.
The property will undergo a multi-million-dollar renovation that will include 291 guestrooms and suites, a fitness center, pool and approximately 22,000-square-feet of meeting and event space. The hotel will feature a ballroom and multiple breakout meeting rooms designed to accommodate corporate meetings, association events, weddings and other social gatherings.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Hyatt to introduce the Hyatt Regency brand to the heart of downtown Tucson,” Omar Mireles, president of Tucson, Ariz.-based HSL Properties, said in a statement. “This investment reflects our confidence in Tucson's continued growth and our commitment to enhancing the city's hospitality offerings.”
