Jamsan Hotel Management expands construction-services business

Jamsan Hotel Management, a Lexington, Mass.-based hospitality company that owns and operates more than 60 hotels in New England, is expanding its offerings to include construction services for not just its own projects, but to other hotel management groups.

"We are a proven successful owner and operator of branded, limited-service, midscale hotels since 1994. We continue to expand our hospitality portfolio with investments in hotels and restaurants. Given our experience and knowhow, the decision to add a construction-services business made lot of business sense to us. For our own projects, it gives us full control to manage the schedule and budget, which in turn allows us to maximize profitability and ROI for our investors," Dilip Patel, president of Jamsan Hotel Management, said in a statement.

Jamsan Construction Management will be a group company of Jamsan Hotel Management, and will provide construction management services in the northeast U.S. This group company will have its own team, which will be led by Hitesh Patel out of the Lexington, Mass., office.

"This is a very exciting development for us. We have been witnessing growth in the new development and renovation projects for the past many years, and now with construction services, we should be able to tap into the construction opportunities resulting from this growth trend. We recently successfully completed construction for our own two hotel projects in Massachusetts— an eight-story Holiday Inn Express at Springfield and five-story Holiday Inn Express at Chelmsford. As of today, we have three major construction projects in the pipeline that we are expecting to complete by early 2019 and a few renovation projects that we are expecting to complete in the same time frame," Hitesh Patel, VP of Jamsan Construction Management, said in a statement.

Other ongoing major hotel construction projects being done by Jamsan Construction Management include:

  • Element Hotel, Chelmsford, Mass.—The remodel and rebranding of a 19-year-old hotel
  • Aloft, Framingham, Mass.—The redesign and rebranding of a hotel built in 1969.
  • Boston Hotel, East Boston, Mass.—The conversion of a shoe factory constructed in 1912 into an upscale hotel.
