Meliá plans new Innside for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Spanish hotel group Meliá Hotels International has signed a deal to open the Innside Kuala Lumpur Cheras, part of an integrated development project in the capital of Malaysia.

Joining the Meliá Kuala Lumpur and an additional three properties in the pipeline, the hotel will be the fifth property for Meliá in Malaysia.

Bernardo Cabot, regional VP of Meliá Hotels International Asia-Pacific, noted Malaysia is one of the company's "key development markets" in the region. “I’m confident the market will respond well to this brand," he added.

Scheduled to open in late-2019, Innside Kuala Lumpur Cheras will be part of a four-story shopping mall of 288 retail units and 105 office suites.

The property will have 238 rooms across 13 floors as well as an executive lounge on the rooftop, meeting facilities, 24/7 fitness center, a swimming pool and a green terrace with a gardening deck.

Meliá Hotels International has 19 properties in Asia-Pacific and a further 33 in the pipeline that are slated to be fully operational by 2022.
