Presidian Hotels starts development on a Texas property

Charles Leddy, CEO of Presidian Hotels & Resorts held an official groundbreaking ceremony this week for a new Hampton Inn by Hilton hotel and Bulverde Visitors & Convention Center in the Singing Hills development in Bulverde, Texas. The new Hampton hotel will join Hilton Worldwide's global brand of more than 2,100 Hampton by Hilton properties around the world. Local city and county officials and representatives from the Bulverde/Spring Branch Economic Development Foundation and the Bulverde/Spring Branch Area Chamber of Commerce were present along with the project's developer, contractor and management team in celebrating the commencement of construction.

The four-story, 84-room Hampton Inn by Hilton will be part of Hampton's fresh, new Forever Young design initiative, which features a modern guest space that is multifunctional, convenient and comfortable. Adjacent to Hampton Inn by Hilton will be the Bulverde Visitors & Convention Center, containing 5,300 square feet of meeting, office and prefunction space. An estimated 30 employees will work at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Bulverde location.

Located less than 13 miles north of Loop 1604 at the intersection of US Highway 281 and State Highway 46, the Hampton Inn by Hilton and Bulverde Visitors & Convention Center will be well-positioned to meet the growing need for premium hotel and meeting space accommodations north of San Antonio and along the State Highway 46 corridor between New Braunfels and Boerne.

The four-story, 84-room Hampton Inn by Hilton will be part of Hampton's fresh, new Forever Young design initiative.

"Our vision was to design a premium hotel that maximizes the property's extraordinary positioning at the confluence of two major central-Texas thoroughfares at the most visible site in the beautiful Singing Hills master development. We could not be more excited to have the Bulverde Visitors & Convention Center co-locating with us to create a place where the community and visitors can meet, stay and celebrate in the beautiful hill-country of Bulverde," Leddy said.

"We are thrilled to be working with Presidian Hotels and Hilton Hotels on this exciting project," said Sherry Mosier, president of the Bulverde/Spring Branch Economic Development Foundation. With the growing demand in the area and success of the Singing Hills development, the Hampton Inn by Hilton and Bulverde Visitors & Convention Center will be the perfect location for leisure and business travelers alike. The city will benefit from additional revenue through municipal hotel occupancy tax dollars, and the hotel will add value to the visitors and new businesses moving to this area."

"The new Hampton Inn by Hilton is a major boost to Bulverde's economic development efforts and supports our commitment to the GVTC GigaRegion partnership and the Bulverde/Spring Branch Economic Development Foundation, to create jobs and higher quality of life for our community," said E.A. Hoppe, Bulverde city manager. "We feel the addition of a leading brand such as the Hampton Inn creates important awareness that Bulverde is a smart place to operate a business."

Adjacent to the Hampton Inn will be the Bulverde Visitors & Convention Center.

The Hampton Inn by Hilton and Bulverde Visitors & Convention Center will have multiple outdoor green spaces surrounded by mature oak trees. All of the hotel's guestrooms will have an LCD TV, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, compact lighting, clock radio, telephone with faceplate and a power unit for charging electronics. Guests will have access to a free breakfast, free parking, free Wi-Fi in all guestrooms and the lobby, a 24-hour business center, an outdoor swimming pool, complimentary fitness center and a lobby/reception room.

Troy Malish, president of NHouse Group and project manager of the development, expects the hotel to be completed in August of 2017. The new Hampton Inn by Hilton will be managed by Presidian Hotels.
