Starwood, Nakheel to open The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm in 2018

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced the scheduled opening of The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm in 2018. Owned by Nakheel, the hotel will be part of The Palm Tower, a 52-story mixed-use development located in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah island. This will be the fifth St. Regis hotel to open in the United Arab Emirates.

The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm will have 289 guestrooms and suites, spanning the first 18 floors of Palm Tower, while the upper floors will have 504 apartments. The hotel will have two swimming pools, including one of the world’s highest infinity pools that will be located on the 50th floor, some 210 meters above ground and bordering all four sides of the building for a 360-degree view of the Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline.

For dining, the property will have a restaurant with city views on the 51st floor, as well as an all-day restaurant.

The hotel will have access to Al Ittihad Park, Palm Jumeirah’s 1.1 million square feet green oasis that has more than 60 varieties of plants indigenous to the UAE and a 3.2 kilometer looped running track. The Palm Monorail, which is connected to the Dubai Tram and Dubai Metro, will also be accessible.

The Palm Tower will have a public rooftop viewing deck on the 52nd floor. The tower will be connected to the Nakheel Mall that spans 4.4 million square feet with 350 shops, a 15-screen Vox cinema, 12 restaurants on its roof terrace, as well as a medical center and fitness complex. Construction is ongoing and completion is due in 2018.

The Palm Tower Residences will have 504 studios and one, two and three bedroom apartments with island, sea and skyline views.
