VEA Newport Beach opens 3 new F&B concepts

VEA Newport Beach has officially opened its three new dining concepts from Executive Chef Andrew Arndt and Director of Food & Beverage Randy Bloomquist: View Restaurant & Lounge, Elan Café & Bar and the Edge Bar.

The Southern California resort recently underwent a comprehensive refresh and has debuted new food and beverage experiences.

Arndt, a California Culinary Academy graduate, has previously worked at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, Gramercy Tavern and Rihga Royal Hotel in New York City, and most recently the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront. “My goal is to create experiences from arrival to departure, with every aspect designed to create memorable moments,” he said in a statement. “Being in Southern California has been a source of inspiration, and I value being able to utilize local purveyors to show guests and travelers what our region has to offer.”

View Restaurant & Lounge is an all-day restaurant and lounge in the middle of the hotel, connected to a lanai with firepits by collapsible glass doors that seamlessly blend indoors and out. Featuring coastal Californian cuisine with a cosmopolitan perspective, frequent live music, greenery, and golf course and ocean views. In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner service, View does offer late-night items available after 10 p.m.

Elan Café & Bar is a European-inspired coffee bar and patisserie in the lobby lounge. In addition to assorted coffees and teas, Elan also features a handful of wines by-the-glass and bottled beer.

The Edge Bar is a terrace bar overlooking the Newport Beach Country Club golf course and Pacific Ocean, with a menu of California-inspired bites.
