4 all-suites, extended-stay hotels open in the South

Home2 Suites by Hilton and Residence Inn by Marriott each opened two hotels in the South this month. These four new properties together add 469 all-suites, extended-stay rooms to the region.

Home2 Suites

The 146-suite Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta Marietta opened 15 minutes northwest of downtown Atlanta. Marietta Investments owns the hotel and Hotel Equities manages it. The property is located within 5 miles of SunTrust Park (home of the Atlanta Braves), GE Power headquarters, Lockheed Martin, Dobbins Air Reserve Base and a Six Flags amusement park.

Outside of Washington, D.C., the Home2 Suites by Hilton Woodbridge (Va.) Potomac Mills also opened recently. Prince William - Telegraph Rd owns the 126-suite hotel and HMP Properties manages it. Located off I-95, the hotel offers guests convenient access to Washington National Airport, Fort Belvoir and Quantico.

Residence Inn

Earlier this month, the 111-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Tuscaloosa (Ala.) opened. KM Hotels of Richmond, Va., owns and manages the property. Nearby points of interest include the University of Alabama, Bryant Denny Stadium, the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater and the Alabama Museum of Natural History. The hotel features a lobby bar, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and 550 square feet of meeting space.

The 86-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Pensacola (Fla.) Airport/Medical Center also debuted earlier this month. Cobble Creek Lodging owns the property and Highpointe Hotel Corp. of Gulf Breeze, Fla., operates it. Located adjacent to the Select Specialty Hospital – Pensacola and two miles from the Pensacola International Airport, it also offers quick access to Cordova Mall, Pensacola Beach and the National Museum of Naval Aviation. Amenities include a meeting room, an outdoor swimming pool, poolside cabanas and a fitness center.

The Residence Inn by Marriott brand currently has more than 700 properties open across more than 10 countries and territories.
