Fairfield by Marriott will open its fourth new location in as many days on Sept. 7 in Queensbury, N.Y. Together, the debuts add 403 rooms to the upper-midscale brand’s U.S. portfolio.
On Sept. 4, the 106-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Riverside Moreno Valley (Calif.) opened. MV MMP owns the hotel and MMP Properties operates it. Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and more than 1,250 square feet of meeting space. The hotel provides convenient access to the March Field Air Museum, University of California Riverside, Lake Perris State Recreation Area and Box Springs Mountain.
The 129-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Minneapolis Shakopee (Minn.) debuted the following day. Hawkeye Hotels, also the property’s operator, owns the hotel with JR Hospitality. Amenities there include an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center. Nearby points of interest include Canterbury Park, Valley Fair Amusement Park and Mystic Lake Casino.
Today, the 91-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Des Moines Downtown opened in Iowa. Owned and managed by VKB Management of Johnston, Iowa, the property features an onsite bar, an outdoor patio overlooking the Des Moines River and Iowa State Capitol and a fitness center. The hotel is located near the Iowa Events Center/Wells Fargo Arena, the Iowa State Capitol and Principal Park.
The 77-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Queensbury (N.Y.) Glen Falls/Lake George Area will debut tomorrow. Adirondack Gateway Development owns the property and Spruce Hospitality Group of Glen Falls, N.Y., operates it. The hotel features an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor hot tub and a fitness center. Nearby attractions include Lake George Village, Six Flags Great Escape Theme Park, Saratoga Race Course and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
