4 U.S. hotel openings this month

Several hotels have opened across the U.S. over the past month:

Courtyard by Marriott Manhattan, Kan.

McNeill Hotel Company has opened the newly developed Courtyard by Marriott in Manhattan, Kan., the 27th property in the company’s portfolio and its first in the state. The 127-room hotel is designed with Courtyard’s latest prototype, which has hybrid zones for working, sleeping, relaxing and getting ready, as well as mobile check-in and digital key. Amenities include a fitness center, guest laundry, 1,100 square feet of meeting space, the Bistro and Bistro Bar and a terrace with outdoor fire pit and seating area.

McNeill Hotel Company owns or manages 27 Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt select-service and extended-stay properties across the Southeast, the Midwest and Mountain West States, with several additional properties in the acquisition and development pipeline. Twenty-three of these properties are located in university towns. 

Hamilton Curio Collection by Hilton, Alpharetta, Ga.

The Hamilton Curio Collection by Hilton has opened in Alpharetta, Ga. The hotel is owned and developed by Mayfair Street Partners and managed by Hotel Equities.

Arch Studio 7 of Winston-Salem, N.C. provided exterior design for the 119-room hotel, giving the decor a mix of classic architecture, industrial elements and contemporary trends. RBA Architecture firm of Charlotte, N.C. served as the architect, and Atlanta-based Evergreen Construction served as the general contractor.

Hilton Garden Inn Austin University Capitol District 

Rockbridge and HRI Properties have opened the Hilton Garden Inn Austin University Capitol District, a 214-room hotel in downtown Austin.

Developed by HRI Properties and managed by HRI Lodging, the hotel has a lobby with several work and lounge areas extending onto an outdoor patio. Additional property amenities include a ground-level bar and restaurant, second floor breakfast room and meeting space, fitness center with a yoga corner, a rooftop deck and dual indoor/outdoor meeting and event space totaling 4,000 square feet. 

106 Jefferson, Huntsville, Ala.

Valor Hospitality Partners has opened 106 Jefferson, a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel, a 115-room boutique lifestyle hotel in downtown Huntsville, Ala. 

Built on the historic site of the former Huntsville Hotel, the property has a chef-driven restaurant, a rooftop lounge and is walkable to the city’s downtown district. Known as the “Rocket City,” Huntsville’s origins dating back to the space race are woven throughout the custom artwork and offerings at 106 Jefferson. Mural artist Robert Bean also has a work of art at on-site Revivalist Restaurant & Bar.
