Over the weekend, Lithuanian development firm Apex Alliance Hotel Management opened the first hotel located at an airport in Romania.
Situated 150 meters from Bucharest’s Henri Coanda International Airport, the Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Airport has 218 rooms and is expecting an average occupancy rate of 70 percent from business travelers and airline staff.
The opening follows an investment of €19 million from Apex Alliance Hotel Management in partnership with consulting firm Optim Project Management.
Public space at the hotel includes five conference rooms covering 225 square meters, and a 126-seat restaurant.
The average length of a stay at the hotel is expected to be a single night due to same-day booking requests influenced by the flights at the airport.
