Situated within walking distance to Yale University and downtown New Haven, Conn., the new six-story Cambria Hotel New Haven University Area is the first property in Connecticut for Choice Hotels International’s Cambria Hotels brand. The 130-room property was developed by HighSide Cos.
The hotel's restaurant serves a locally inspired menu and has both indoor and outdoor seating along a full bar. Other amenities at the hotel include an open-concept lobby displaying local art, a fitness center and a business center. The hotel also has multifunction meeting and event spaces.

Baskervill served as the project's architect and interior designer with KBE Building Corp. serving as the general contractor.
HighSide Development has several additional Cambria Hotels projects currently under construction , including the 150-room Cambria Hotel in Burbank, Calif., and the 153-room RiNo Cambria Hotel in Denver. HighSide is also currently working with various partners developing multifamily, hospitality, and self-storage assets across the U.S. and Canada.
In June, HighSide Development developed the 144-room Cambria Hotel Columbia Downtown the Vista in Columbia, S.C.
