Choice's newest Cambria opens in Chicago's Theatre District

Cambria Chicago Loop - Theatre District

Choice Hotels International, in partnership with developer Murphy Asset Management and management company Crescent Hotels & Resorts, opened the Cambria Chicago Loop - Theatre District. This is the brand’s second property in Chicago. The Magnificent Mile hotel opened in November 2016.

The 22-story, 199-room Cambria Chicago Loop - Theatre District, located at 32 W. Randolph St., is located above the historic Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre. As an adaptive-reuse project, Cambria is repurposing the offices located above the theater, matching the building with the aesthetic of the hotel.

The property is also in the center of the Chicago Loop, an business district, and home to a number of Fortune 500 company headquarters such as Boeing, Archer Daniels Midland, United Continental Holdings and the Exelon Corporation. Block Thirty Seven, a group of high-end restaurants and local retail outlets, is also located directly across the street from the hotel.

“As a vital business hub and home to world-class entertainment, Chicago is an ideal city for the Cambria brand to offer multiple hotels,” Janis Cannon, SVP, upscale brands at Choice Hotels, said in a statement. “The Loop-Theatre District property offers compelling design inspired by the location, spacious and comfortable rooms, and the right amenities to meet the needs of today’s modern traveler.”

The property has contemporary onsite dining, serving a menu comprised of local specialties, liquor, wine and local craft beers, as well as freshly prepared grab-and-go gourmet salads and sandwiches. The hotel also includes a lobby, meeting space with integrated AV capabilities and a fitness center.

Choice Hotels is partnering with Murphy Asset Management, a development team that focuses on generating new opportunities in the multifamily, hospitality and office sectors across the country.

Cambria hotels are designed to provide a unique and distinctive experience with the services and amenities that travelers demand, including casually tailored décor, flexible spaces for meeting or socializing, rooms that are comfortable and composed,and free Wi-Fi.
