Europe’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts property opens on Grosvenor Square

The Biltmore Mayfair has opened as Europe’s first property in Hilton's luxury LXR Hotels & Resorts soft brand, a rebranding of the former Millennium Hotel London Mayfair.

London-based designers KCA International and Goddard Littlefair oversaw the interior design of the 307-room hotel, which overlooks Grosvenor Square.

The property has 57 suites. Some suites, instead of a traditional minibar, have a leather-encased quilted cabinet holding bottles of champagne.

The Biltmore Mayfair is home to new restaurant concepts from restaurateur Jason Atherton, including: The Betterment, The Pine Bar, The Tea Lounge (located within the hotel lobby), Writer’s Corner, and The Terrace, which has an alfresco area surrounded by floral arrangements, greenery and fairy lights.

Jason Atherton oversees food and beverage for the hotel’s event spaces, including the 500 square meter (5,382 square foot) ballroom, ideal for large-scale events, weddings or cocktail receptions, with capacity for up to 700 guests. For more intimate functions, the Waterloo and Manhattan Suites can hold up to 80 and 100 guests, respectively; while the Kendal Suite can host up to 40 guests.

The hotel also has a fitness suite.

The Biltmore Mayfair joins Habtoor Palace Dubai, LXR Hotels & Resorts, as the second property within Hilton’s collection of luxury hotels. The brand made its world debut with the opening of Habtoor Palace in August 2018.

The Biltmore Mayfair is located at 44 Grosvenor Square, London.
