Fairfield to open in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The 80-room Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Colorado Springs (Colo.) East/Ballpark is slated to open on Oct. 23. The hotel, owned by Freeman & Kallaher Colorado Properties and managed by InterMountain Management of Monroe, La., will feature the upper-midscale brand’s new design and décor.

“Delivering both function and comfort, our new design and décor elevate the Fairfield brand, setting a new standard in the moderate tier category,” Janis Milham, SVP and global brand leader, classic select brands, said in a statement.

The hotel will feature an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor patio and a fitness studio. It will be located on the east side of Colorado Springs near UC Health Park and Weidner Field. Nearby attractions and points of interest include Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and Peterson Air Force Base.
