Gettys Group, Samuelson Furniture collaborate for Hotel Julian

Oxford Hotels & Resorts, in a joint effort with Quadrum Global, tapped the Gettys Group and Samuelson Furniture to update the Hotel Julian, a property located in the Millennium Park area of Chicago.

Following a $75 million renovation project, the property, located within a building that was originally designed by Chicago-born architect Benjamin Marshall in 1912, now has 218 rooms.

The design team invested in furnishings that supported the building’s classic architectural appearance while optimizing its spatial restrictions. This led to distinctive guestroom attributes, such as motion-sensing headboard lighting, thermostats and mini fridges, as well as text-accessible room service and smart TVs.
