Hilton ends 2020 with coast-to-coast openings

Hilton ended 2020 with a swath of openings across the country.

Utah

The dual-branded Home2 Suites by Hilton Ogden and Tru by Hilton Ogden has opened in Utah, close to the Ogden Eccles Convention Center and Union Station on Historic 25th Street.

The multi-brand concept provides larger and enhanced communal areas and amenities than what would be standard at a standalone property. Each hotel has designated lobby and dining areas, while shared amenities include a game-filled lobby with a pool table, 24-hour fitness centers, an indoor saline pool and hot tub;and three outdoor patio areas with a firepit and grills. 

The four-story property, developed and owned by Garn Development and managed by Western States Lodging Management, has 155 guestrooms—83 Tru by Hilton guest rooms and 72 Home2 Suites suite rooms. 

Washington

A standalone Tru opened in Washington state. The 92-room Tru by Hilton Spokane Valley is owned by Spokane Valley-based GL8 Hospitality and managed by Commonwealth Hotels.

The property has Connected Rooms, mobile-centric spaces where guests can control everything from entertainment and television programming to lighting and temperature controls through the Hilton Honors app.

The hotel’s fitness center includes a barre, TRX bands, free weights, cardio and flexibility gear. The hotel also has an indoor pool and hot tub, outdoor patio and firepit and a 24/7 “Eat. & Sip” market. 

Texas

The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Lubbock University has opened in Lubbock, Texas.

Owned and developed by Treemont Partners, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Lubbock University in Lubbock has 113 rooms. The property is close to Texas Tech University and has a fitness center, a meeting room and an onsite wine-and-beer bar. Safety features include a Lennox Healthy Climate Filtration System and Lennox Germicidal UV Emitter and Lamp.

Florida

The new 100-room Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton North Port in Florida is owned by Lodgco Hospitality.

The property has an onsite bar and an outdoor recreation area including a pool and a firepit. The hotel also has a fitness facility as well as nearly 1,500 square feet of meeting space. 

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton North Port is five miles from the Atlanta Braves Spring Training Facility and Cool Today Park.
