Hilton opens eco-conscious Home2 Suites in Phoenix

Home2 Suites by Hilton, part of Hilton's All Suites portfolio, has opened the 127-room Home2 Suites by Hilton Phoenix Avondale in Arizona.

"We are excited to welcome sports enthusiasts, players and their families as well as the many tech professionals visiting our region to our hotel," said General Manager Matt Hallinan, a Phoenix native returning to his hometown. "Avondale has a lot of potential as an emerging market in West Phoenix, and we look forward to integrating with the surrounding business and athletic communities."

Home2 Suites Avondale has partnered with Scottsdale-based SunRenu to power the hotel almost completely through solar energy. The hotel also installed five electric vehicle charging stations in its parking lot.

Owned by Avana Capital and managed by Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group, Home2 Suites Avondale has all-suite accommodations with kitchens and modular furniture, letting guests customize their suite as needed.

The Home2 Suites Avondale is Lodging Dynamics' fifth new management contract this year. Other new hotels in their portfolio include the AC Hotel by Marriott Seattle/Bellevue Downtown, the Element by Westin Anaheim (Calif.) Resort Convention Center and the Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Downtown/Bayside. Combined, Lodging Dynamics has added nearly 1,000 hotel rooms to its management portfolio this year.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Phoenix Avondale is close to Westgate Entertainment District, the State Farm Stadium of the Arizona Cardinals, the Phoenix Raceway, American Sports Center and Friendship Municipal Park. The property is 20 minutes to the Phoenix Airport Sky Harbor and 25 minutes to downtown Phoenix.
