Hilton opens new Garden Inn in Mannheim, Germany

Hilton has expanded its footprint in Germany with the opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Mannheim.

The 197-guestroom property is an adaptive reuse of a former post office that dates back about 120 years. The hotel is next to Mannheim’s ICE train station and is within a 30-minute train ride of many business and leisure facilities.

Public spaces will include a restaurant with an open kitchen, a bar and grill, shopping spaces for sundries and snacks, a fitness center and outdoor space.

“What makes our hotel so unique is the fact that it is an art hotel,” GM Anastasios Spiriadis said in a statement. The developers worked with Mannheim-based artist Christian Borth and the Prince House Gallery to put together a collection of photographic work entitled “MannheimConnected,” exclusive to Hilton Garden Inn Mannheim. The artwork was curated to weave a thematic thread throughout the premises.

The property is owned by the Diringer & Scheidel Group and managed by Ariva Hotel GmbH.
