Hotel Hartness, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, has officially opened in downtown Greenville, S.C.
The hotel is part of a 467-acre family estate with pastures, lakes, creeks and woodlands, and has 73 guestrooms and suites, the Patterson Kitchen + Bar and the intimate Captain bar and Spa H.
Designed by C+ CT Design Studio and Sims Patrick Studio, Hotel Hartness’ design pays tribute to its location and history as a former family home. The former Hartness residence, known as The Manor, serves as the welcoming facility with a design that incorporates many original and preserved components including a pair of fireplaces and the 200-year-old reclaimed wood walls in The Captain bar.
Hotel Hartness also includes an outdoor pool, fitness center and access to year-round experiences. Guests can explore the adjacent 180-acre nature preserve, and the on-site Hartness Farm provides sustainable farming and community engagement opportunities.
