Hotels in 7 states open doors

Properties in seven states announced openings during the past few weeks.

OHIO

The Lytle Park Hotel, part of Autograph Collection, is open in Cincinnati. The luxury property features 106 guestrooms and more than 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space including the city’s only four-season rooftop venue offering views of Lytle Park, downtown Cincinnati and the Ohio River. Western & Southern Financial Group owns the hotel, which was developed by its real estate subsidiary, Eagle Realty Group. Winegardner and Hammons manages it.

The 120-room Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Columbus, Ohio, opened this month. SJB Management of Athens, Ohio, owns and manages the hotel. Located 9 miles from John Glenn Columbus International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown Columbus, the hotel offers guests convenient access to the Ohio Expo Center, Nationwide Arena, Ohio State University and Stadium and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

NEVADA

Tharaldson Hospitality Management announced the opening of the new Holiday Inn Express & Suites Las Vegas – E Tropicana. The hotel features 121 all-suite rooms, along with free Wi-fi, complimentary hot breakfast at the Express Start Breakfast Bar, an outdoor swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness center. Under its franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group, THM will own and operate the property. This hotel is located right down the road from the Las Vegas Strip. It is also located nearby Freemont Street, the Hoover Dam, T-Mobile Arena and MGM Park.

TEXAS

The SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Texas City, Texas, officially opened this month. The 103-suite hotel is owned by DS Management and managed by Lodgic Hospitality. The hotel is located across from the Tanger Outlet Mall and offers guests convenient access to Galveston Island, the Kemah Boardwalk and the Texas City Museum. The hotel provides business services, complimentary Wi-Fi, same-day dry cleaning, 1,000 square feet of meeting space, guest laundry facilities, a 24/7 market, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center.

The 80-room Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Richmond, Texas, is open. D & M Hospitality owns the hotel, which is managed by Tourist Promotion Services. The hotel offers guests convenient access to Smart Financial Centre, Hermann Memorial Hospital, OakBend Medical Center, George Ranch Historical Park and Braman Winery and Brewery.

The TownePlace Suites by Marriott El Paso (Texas) East/I-10 has officially opened for business. The new 92-suite hotel is owned and managed by InterMountain Management of Monroe, La. The hotel is located 8 miles from El Paso International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown, and also offers guests convenient access to The Fountains at Farah, the El Paso Zoo and Southwest University Park.

OKLAHOMA

Owner Apollo Hospitality opened an 80-room Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Duncan, Okla. Integral Hospitality manages the hotel, which offers an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor patio with a fire pit, a fitness center, a complimentary hot breakfast, business services, valet laundry service, complimentary Wi-Fi and two meeting rooms with a combined 539 square feet of meeting space.

ARIZONA

The Southwest’s first Canopy by Hilton is open in downtown Tempe, Ariz. Owned and developed by Driftwood Capital, Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown, the new 198-room hotel offers approximately 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space and two dining outlets. Situated within a commuter-friendly urban corridor, the hotel is 5 miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and near shopping centers, culinary offerings, entertainment destinations such as Desert Financial Arena and local landmarks including Tempe Town Lake, Mill Avenue District and Tempe Beach Park.

NORTH CAROLINA

The Courtyard by Marriott Winston-Salem (N.C.) Downtown opened its doors last week. Featuring a custom design, the 126-room hotel is owned by Virtua Winston-Salem Hotel and managed by Hotel Equities. The custom design features rich, saturated colors stemming from the neighboring rewery’s vibrant artwork. The color palette is complemented by patterns with a retro vibe, as well as decorative accent lighting and furniture integrated with black lacquer. The property offers convenient access to Old Salem, the Yadkin Valley wineries, Kaleideum, Aperture Cinema and Hanesbrands Theatre.

CALIFORNIA

The TownePlace Suites by Marriott Fresno Clovis (Calif.) has officially opened for business. The new 114-suite hotel is owned and managed by Axis Hotel Group of Fresno, Calif. The hotel is located 3 miles from Fresno International Airport and 10 minutes from downtown Clovis. The new hotel offers guests convenient access to Fresno State, the Save Mart Center, the Fashion Fair Mall and Sierra Vista Mall. The three-story property is just a short drive from the Fresno Convention Center, Tachi Palace Casino Resort and Chuckchansi Gold Resort & Casino.
