Mama Shelter opens newest property in France

Mama Shelter has opened its latest property in the French city of Lille near the Belgian border.

Close to two major train stations and the Rem Koolhaas-designed Euralille business district, the Mama Shelter Lille has 112 guestrooms designed by Jalil Amor.

Public space includes a restaurant, an outdoor terrace, four rentable studios called "ateliers" and a covered terrace. A lounge hosts live music acts.

Serge Trigano launched Mama Shelter with sons Benjamin and Jérémie 11 years ago in Paris. In 2014 Accor bought a 35 percent stake in the brand, which also has hotels in Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Prague, Belgrade and Toulouse. Upcoming openings include Dubai, Lisbon, London, Luxembourg and a second hotel in Paris.
