Marriott, Hilton announce property openings

Marriott International has announced the opening of four properties under several brands and Hilton also has opened a hotel.

St. Louis

Hotel development, management and investment firm Midas Hospitality opened the St. Louis region’s first Aloft hotel in the 200-acre Cortex Innovation Community.

The hotel offers 129 rooms with two meeting rooms and amenities that include an on-site fitness center, a heated indoor pool and the W XYZ bar with outdoor seating. Katie O’Connor is the hotel’s GM and Robyn Niedringhaus leads the sales team.

The five-story Aloft is located near several offices including Aon, Boeing, Microsoft and Square. It is minutes away from the Midtown Arts district, The Grove, Forest Park, BJC Medical Center, Saint Louis University, Washington University, Harris Stowe State University and the St. Louis Zoo.

This is the 12th hotel Midas Hospitality will manage in the greater St. Louis region, bringing its total hotel count to 40 across 11 Midwest and Southern states.

Keller, Texas

The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton-Keller (Texas) Town Center is open. The hotel is located directly across from Keller City Hall and surrounded by shopping, dining and entertainment. The property is owned by TI Group and managed by Hotel Equities.

The hotel features 110 rooms with meeting rooms and swimming pool as well as signature brand amenities including complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24-hour business center and a fitness center.  Each guestroom includes high-definition TV, free in-room movie channels and a coffee maker.

Spokane, Wash.

The brand-new SpringHill Suites Spokane (Wash.) Airport is open. The hotel features 109 all-suite rooms, along with amenities such as free Wi-fi, free hot breakfast, a swimming pool, a fitness center, a business center and more.

Under its franchise agreement with Marriott International, Tharaldson Hospitality Management owns and operates the property. This hotel is located six minutes away from the Spokane International Airport and 15 minutes away from Manito Park, Spokane Falls and Riverfront Park. It also is 15 minutes away from downtown Spokane.

Midlothian, Va.

The 111-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Richmond West hotel in Midlothian, Va., is open. Shamin Hotels owns and manages the all-suites property.

The hotel offers grocery delivery service, complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24-hour onsite food-and-beverage market, dry-cleaning services and an onsite guest laundry room. The hotel is pet-friendly and provides guests with business services, a meeting room, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and a Sport Court.

Located near Johnston-Willis Hospital and 20 minutes from downtown Richmond, the Residence Inn offers its guests convenient access to Richmond Ice Zone, Huguenot Park, Chesterfield Towne Center and River City Sportsplex.

Tuckahoe, N.Y.

The SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Tuckahoe, N.Y., has opened. Bilwin Development Affiliates owns the hotel and Concord Hospitality Enterprises manages it.

Located at the halfway point between New York City and the Lower Hudson Valley, the hotel is close to the Ridge Hill Mall, the Bronx River Walkway, Winged Foot Golf Club and numerous shopping, dining and entertainment options.
