SpringHill Suites ready to open near Michigan State University

SpringHill Suites by Marriott East Lansing University Area, located just a short walk from the Michigan State University campus, opens this week. Aside from providing quick access to the college, the 88-suite hotel will also offer business services, complimentary Wi-Fi, same-day dry cleaning, a meeting room, daily complimentary breakfast, guest laundry facilities, an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center.

The new property will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by United Hospitality Group East Lansing and managed by United Hospitality Management of Southfield, Mich. Greg Taft and Kevin Ross will lead the management team as director of sales and general manager.

We make it our business to help them do that by offering our local expertise and bringing the community into the hotel through our 24/7 market and at our Art of Local events.”

The hotel’s suites will come with separate living, working and sleeping spaces. Each will include a three-in-one West Elm sofa that can switch between sofa, daybed and trundle bed. All rooms also come with a 49-inch high-definition TV featuring streaming capabilities for Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Pandora and Crackle.
