Marriott International has opened the City Express by Marriott Port Hope, marking the brand’s Canadian debut.
The 91-room City Express by Marriott Port Hope is close to the city’s historic downtown, the Capitol Theatre, seasonal events, boutique shopping and the Ganaraska River. It also is near Cobourg Beach and Northumberland County. Located along Highway 401, one of Canada's busiest transportation corridors, the hotel serves as a gateway to destinations across Ontario, connecting travelers to Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, Prince Edward County, the Kawarthas and the Niagara Region.
"Bringing City Express by Marriott to Canada is an exciting step forward as we continue to expand the brand's footprint and welcome even more travelers into the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio," Paul Cahill, COO, Canada, Marriott International, said in a statement. "Whether traveling for business or leisure, guests can expect a stay that's thoughtfully designed around what matters most: comfort, convenience, exceptional value, and the trusted hospitality Marriott is known for."
