Marriott opens first San Antonio Autograph Collection hotel

Marriott has soft-opened its first Autograph Collection Hotel in San Antonio, the Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa. The property, which will fully open in March, has 253 guestrooms, two restaurants and bars, meeting space and repurposed 19th century historic buildings that house a day spa and a bungalow suite.

The hotel, owned and operated by White Lodging, is steps away from Hemisfair, La Villita and the Henry B. González Convention Center.

The Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa has a resort-style swimming pool and two community-focused restaurants and bars: Corinne San Antonio and Anaqua Garden Bar. Led by Executive Chef Joseph Krauss, Corinne San Antonio serves weekday breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as weekend brunch and dinner. Named after the property’s historic 42-foot tall Anaqua tree, Anaqua Garden Bar overlooks the hotel’s outdoor pool and is surrounded by greenery.

Plaza San Antonio has flexible meeting space options covering more than 21,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor venues, including a nearly 6,000-square-foot ballroom.
