Radisson, Park Inn brands debut in Lagos, Nigeria

The Radisson Hotel Lagos, Ikeja and the Park Inn by Radisson Serviced Apartments Lagos, Victoria Island have opened, debuting the brands in Nigeria.

“[This year] has been a record year for us in terms of growth in Nigeria and we’re pleased to now have more than 2,000 rooms in operation and under development in this exciting market,” said Tim Cordon, senior area VP, Middle East, Turkey and Africa, Radisson Hotel Group. “We’ve seen Nigeria’s tourism sector continue to grow and make a significant contribution to the country’s GDP, while being one of its key employers. We’re thrilled to be playing a leading role in this growth.”

The Radisson Hotel Lagos Ikeja has 94 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a bar and a pool terrace. There also are three meeting rooms, a business center, a special lounge for airline crews, a gym and swimming pool. Located in Ikeja, the capital of the Lagos State, the hotel is situated on Mobolaji Anthony Highway, a main road linking Ikeja with the rest of Lagos. The city's international airport, which accounts for 50 percent of all air traffic in Nigeria, is 1 kilometer from the hotel.

The company also opened Park Inn by Radisson-branded serviced apartments on Victoria Island in Lagos’ financial district. Located off Adetokunbo Ademola Street, the hotel has 55 hotel-apartments, a brasserie and an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining. Guests may also grab refreshments at the hotel bar or small bites by the pool. 

Other facilities include a gym and a swimming pool, while the meeting and events space consists of two conference rooms and a boardroom for a total capacity of 112 persons.
