Sonesta International Hotels has added two Texas properties under its select-service portfolio, with the opening of the Sonesta Select Houston IAH Greenspoint in north Houston and Sonesta Essential Longview in east Texas.
Sonesta Select Houston IAH Greenspoint is a 126-room, interior-corridor hotel located in Houston’s Greenspoint district. The property—which is near George Bush Intercontinental Airport—is owned and operated by franchisee Jorge Romo, marking his fourth hotel opening within the Sonesta portfolio this year.
“The addition of Sonesta Select Houston IAH Greenspoint to our deep portfolio of properties in the Houston market highlights our strong momentum and growing scale across Texas,” Keith Pierce, co-CEO of Sonesta, said in a statement.
Separately, Sonesta also unveiled the opening of Sonesta Essential Longview, a 50-room, recently renovated upper-midscale interior-corridor hotel in Longview, Texas.
“Sonesta is excited to open Sonesta Essential Longview, as the hotel is a reflection of our continued commitment to expanding select-service properties in secondary and tertiary markets,” added Pierce.
