Sonesta International Hotels opens second Ecuador property

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is further expanding its international portfolio and footprint in South America. The company has opened its second property in Ecuador, the Sonesta Hotel Loja. 

The hotel has 73 guestrooms, a full-service restaurant, a bar and lounge, a deli and bakery, a business center, a gym, a pool and a Turkish bath. For business functions, the hotel also has four meeting rooms.

Located 250 miles southeast of the major port city of Guayaquil and the existing Sonesta Hotel Guayaquil, Loja is the capital city of the country’s southernmost province by the same name, sharing a border with Peru.
 
The property, which will be managed by Latin American hotel operator GHL Hotels, is the brand’s 16th hotel in South America.
