Sonesta International Hotels has expanded its footprint in Houston with the grand opening of Sonesta Essential Houston Hobby Airport.
The 131-room upper-midscale hotel is located near William P. Hobby Airport and some 7 miles from downtown Houston. The Texas hotel is owned by New York-based Veritas International Capital, a real estate investment firm.
“Sonesta’s portfolio continues to grow with the third opening this year in the Greater Houston market with this owner,” Keith Pierce, co-CEO of Sonesta International Hotels, said in a statement.
According to the Newton, Mass.-based franchisor, the Sonesta Essential brand features elevated bedding, high-speed complimentary WiFi, complimentary hot breakfast, premium all-day coffee and a fitness center.
